What counts as an "agent request"?
An agent request is any API call made by an AI agent to search, browse, or purchase from your connected store. This includes product searches, inventory checks, and purchase transactions using our AP2 (Agent Payments Protocol).
What is AP2?
AP2 (Agent Payments Protocol) is PennyLane's cryptographic standard for secure agent transactions. When an AI agent makes a purchase, it signs a mandate with HMAC-SHA256 to prove authorization. This ensures transactions are verified and auditable.
Can I switch plans later?
Absolutely! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When upgrading, you'll get immediate access to new features. When downgrading, changes take effect at the next billing cycle.
What happens if I exceed my limits?
On tiered plans, additional requests are queued until the next month. You'll receive a notification at 80% usage. Upgrade to Merchant or Developer for unlimited requests.
Do you offer discounts for startups?
Yes! We offer 50% off the first year for qualified startups through our PennyLane for Startups program. Contact us at startups@pennylane.dev with your details.
Is there a setup fee?
No setup fees, ever. You only pay for your monthly subscription. The SDK is free and open-source.
